About the role To work as a supportive member of the X-ray and DXA scanning team, supporting the Radiographer to provide excellent patient care. For more information please see attached job description. This role will require you to work at both DDH and the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Wakefield. The interview date for this post is 15th July 2025. The interviews will be in person, we are unable to offer skype interviews. The core hours are Monday -Friday either 8am-4pm or 9am-5.30pm shifts. Main duties Working under the direction of a Radiographer, participate fully in the delivery of planned/acute care of patients attending the radiology service for investigations. Support the Radiographer. Chaperoning of patients, escorting/ transferring of patients and providing 1-1 patient centred care. Helping patients to get changed, also to weigh and measure patients. Undertake personal care duties e.g., toileting, dressing, repositioning of patients, and assisting patients with their personal hygiene appearance. Caring for a group of patients that require enhanced care. Order supplies under the direction of the department lead. Participate in general cleanliness and tidiness of the environment. Replenish stock within department. Enter information onto the Radiology information systems. Arrange portering of patients. Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations. Willingness to undertake Functional skills level 2 Maths & English if not already qualified at GCSE or equivalent level in Maths & English. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of data protection, and health & safety issues. Knowledge of personal care and related procedures. Able to communicate clearly and concisely over the phone, face to face and written. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work as part of a team. Good attendance record.
