Location: Telford Role Type: Full-Time Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off (Approx. 173 hours per month) Overview: We are currently recruiting for two experienced Senior Support Workers to join a children’s residential care setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and have a strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and delivering high-quality care. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting Act as a positive role model and support emotional, social, and behavioural development Lead shifts and support junior staff members where required Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times Support care planning, risk assessments, and daily record-keeping Promote independence, education, and wellbeing of young people Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and internal teams Requirements: Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce, Residential Care, or equivalent Must be a driver with access to a vehicle Ability to commute to Telford Able to commit to a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern Strong understanding of safeguarding and residential childcare standards Clean record (no previous disciplinaries, convictions, or ongoing investigations) What’s on Offer: Competitive salary/package (dependent on experience) Structured rota providing work-life balance Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive team environment
