We are looking for a Band 5 staff nurse who can autonomously work in a fast-paced department that sees over 200 patients a day. You will be a part of a very dynamic and diverse team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Have the skill to carry out cannulation & venepuncture, access PICC line and other intravenous catheters or willing to learn.
You can expect to learn and assist with carrying out venesection safely.
Provide assistance in caring for patients having their out paracentesis.
Take and record patients vital signs accurately.
Willing to learn other skill set required to work in a liver outpatient such fibro-scanning.
Be well informed and proficient in the use of modern technology, especially computers.
Punctual and reliable member of the team.
To work in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, Trust Policies and Procedures.
To set agreed standards of nursing care, monitor these and take action to improve if necessary.
Ensure all patients receive appropriate follow-up and that relevant information is available to enable patients to make an informed choice about their treatment and care.

To communicate effectively with patients, their relatives and carers and all healthcare personnel.
Ensuring clear documentation in the patient's records of all significant consultations in accordance with Best Records Keeping Guidance.
To be fully involved in the health education of patients and relatives, taking every opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle.
To promote a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to care, ensuring continuity of care in the outpatient setting.
To ensure the effective and efficient use of clinic rooms in Liver outpatient for the purpose of the Ambulatory services.
