What you’ll be doing
as a Senior Project Manager Opportunities
1. You’ll be a client-side Senior Project Manager responsible for the investment from initial design through construction and completion.
2. Overall accountability for the project programme, cost and quality and leading the project team to meet project objectives.
3. Establish a project health and safety culture and lead with a health and safety mindset.
4. Working collaboratively with our external supply chain and driving contractor performance
5. Support the definition of solutions to meet the project objectives and be responsible for preparing a clear business case.
6. Effective liaison with the relevant town planning authorities and critical internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running and timely project delivery.
7. Contribute to steering project-wide continuous improvement and delivering against stretching targets.
8. Commercially manage all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water.
9. Take accountability for governance compliance throughout the project's lifecycle, leading to a smooth transition into operational business.
Role Location: These roles will be hybrid, in an office location with Thames Water regions; as part of the role, you will be required to be on site 2-3 days a week and as the business needs.
The standard hours are Monday – Friday, 36 hours a week. However, we are flexible on working hours and patterns, so please apply if you are looking for an alternative to this.
The ideal candidate will have access to transportation and hold a driver's licence, but please apply if you do not currently have this.
What you should bring to the role
10. Demonstrable track record of delivering complex projects in the built environment, infrastructure or utility industry.
11. An engineering or other relevant degree or qualification within a business or project management qualification.
12. Knowledgeable in managing contract specification preparation, tendering, and tender evaluation processes with experience in negotiation.
13. Demonstrate your capability with risk-based and analytical decision-making.
14. Confidence in speaking to all levels of external and internal stakeholders.

15. Competitive salary from £65,000 to £81,720 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
16. 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
