Murphy is recruiting for a [[title]] to work with Energy on the Norwich to Tilbury scheme, as part of our delivery of the Great Grid partnership (GGP). The project is currently mobilising the project teams to support early works, including DCO support, ahead of site commencement in mid-2027. The works are split between our regional office in Stone Cross (Warrington), with GGP support in Birmingham, and working with the client based in Bury St Edmunds. Once mobilised, teams will be based on-site around Colchester and Braintree. Construction is planned from mid-2027 to mid-2031.

A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Project Manager:
* Accountable for project delivery, ensuring safety, timeliness, contract compliance, and budget adherence.
* Manage and coordinate project delivery across multiple disciplines.
* Set project standards and ensure requirements are met.
* Identify and resolve issues promptly.
* Plan, review, and deliver contract programmes.
* Manage Project, Construction Site, and Engineering Managers.
* Maintain effective client relationships and communicate project updates.
* Ensure resource and material availability through operational plans.
* Resolve operational issues, escalating critical matters to the Project Director.
* Oversee commercial activities, including margin delivery, cost control, and financial metrics.
* Manage subcontractors to maintain project performance and financial health.

* Proven Project Managerial experience.
* HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree).
* Experience with complex multi-discipline enhancement projects, managing programme and costs.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
