We are currently recruiting a Procurement Advisor to join our team in Lisburn. This role is temporary ongoing.
Mon- Fri 36.25 hours per week
£19.59 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Procurement and Contracts Manager in providing an efficient and effective Procurement and Contract management service.
2. Ensure compliance with the NIFRS Procurement Strategy and advise internal stakeholders on procurement matters, including tendering, quotations, contract management, and legislation.
3. Support and deliver daily procurement and contract management functions, maintaining relationships with NIFRS Centres of Procurement Expertise (CoPE), Business Services Organisation (BSO) Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), and Central Procurement Directorate (CPD).
4. Liaise with relevant CoPE organisations regarding procurements to ensure effective planning and management of tenders.
5. Assist in Procurement Awareness training for internal stakeholders as required.
6. Complete procurement of goods through compliant routes to deliver Value for Money within the public procurement policy, legal, and accountability frameworks.
7. Assist in fulfilling and monitoring Key Performance Indicators for the NIFRS Procurement Function to demonstrate positive service performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Hold an HNC (or equivalent) or above qualification and have two years of demonstrable experience working in a procurement environment within a large, complex organization;
* Or have four years of demonstrable experience working in a procurement environment within a large, complex organization.
Demonstrate:
* (a) Excellent planning and delivery of high-quality work with great attention to detail;
* (b) Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to influence management;
* (c) Experience using Information Technology systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and management information/Finance systems.
