The role: Pensions Project Manager We are currently looking for a proactive and well-organised Project Manager to oversee and deliver many of our most complex client projects. These are likely to be multi-discipline and span across our Funding and Wealth Analytical Services teams. This is an opportunity to manage and oversee projects specifically within GMP rectification and equalisation, working strategically with internal teams and key stakeholders. The location can be based anywhere in the UK. What can you expect? You will be working as part of our Wealth Analytical Services (WAS) team and will report the tracking and management of projects to the Lead Consultants and WAS GMPE Delivery Lead. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and fulfil a fundamental role in overseeing and coordinating high level and challenging projects at a national level within Mercer. We will rely on you to: Develop project plans including agreeing the project scope and timescales with key stakeholders, and maintain all project documentation Actively lead the project team and manage activities end-to-end during the project life cycle to ensure delivery of project commitments within budget Work in partnership and develop relationships with all stakeholders in each project - including our clients, other advisers and colleagues involved in the project Take ownership of projects and communicate individual accountability to all project stakeholders whilst reporting progress to Delivery Leads Continually identify and escalate any issues related to the project to Delivery Leads What you need to have: Proven project management experience and/or project management qualifications (although a lack of qualifications is not a barrier to applying for this role) A background in pensions or related financial services Experience in monitoring budgets, project scope and change control An understanding of developing and implementing a communications plan Proven delivery of projects, on time and to budget What makes you stand out: Knowledge of GMP rectification and equalisation is preferable (but not required).
