Contek Recruitment are currently working with an ambitious start-up precision engineering company, who are based in Ellesmere Port. They are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer/Business Development Engineer to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis.
LOCATION: Ellesmere Port – CH65
ABOUT THE COMPANY: Our client are a start-up subcontract precision engineering company, who have been in operation for the past 12 months. They are expanding and have big plans for the next couple of years. They currently have a 5-axis HAAS UMC500 CNC milling machine, on which they provide subcontract services for the Aerospace and Automotive industries. They are in the process of buying a new CNC lathe, which will increase their capacity and open up opportunities into new customers and markets. This will aim to be installed by the end of 2025.
POSITION: Sales Engineer / Business Development Engineer
JOB TYPE: Part-time, permanent.
WORKING HOURS: Flexible (Open to ideas)
SALARY: Between £17-20 per hour
COMMISION STRUCTURE: Negotiable (Either a percentage of value of new business, or an uplift on the hourly rate based on hours spent on new jobs).
OTHER: Vehicle allowance provided, company laptop & phone provided, hybrid working available.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Driving the company growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities.
* Developing strong customer relationships to both new and existing customers.
* Travelling across the UK promoting their subcontract machining services with the aim of securing new business.
* Working closely with the owner of the company to develop growth plans and collaborating on ideas to develop new and existing business.
* Identifying opportunities and providing technical solutions to clients.
Requirements
* A background within precision engineering and CNC machining, with an understanding of machining capabilities and associated industries.
* A track record of developing business within subcontract machining, with a good network of relationships within the industry
