Kenect Recruitment is working in partnership with a well‑established client in the construction and engineering sector to recruit an Experienced Quantity Surveyor.
About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client's growing team. You will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and commercial risks for different infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
* Conduct cost control and forecasting throughout project lifecycles.
* Manage procurement processes and subcontractor contracts.
* Assess variation claims and ensure contract compliance.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial viability.
* Support financial reporting and project cost analysis.
* Assist in risk management and dispute resolution as required.
What they're Looking For
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a construction‑related discipline.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS or CIOB accreditation).
