Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced band 7 blood transfusion Biomedical Scientist to work in a laboratory in West Sussex.
This is a full:time position due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of up to GBP25 per hour.
: Monday to Friday (full time)
Responsibilities:
: Perform laboratory tests on blood samples to diagnose and monitor medical conditions related to blood disorders and transfusions.
: Verify compatibility between donors and recipients, detect and prevent transfusion reactions, and maintain accurate records.
: Ensure the safe and effective use of blood products in medical settings.
: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and adhere to strict quality control and safety standards.
: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and support.
Job Description:
All aspects of Blood Transfusion bench work and compliance. Knowledge in Winpath and Blood 360 preferable.
The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have proven experience in blood transfusion.
