Production Team Leader

You re probably wondering what s involved
You ll be joining a great management team, with 5 direct reports and as part of the wider operations team you will have plenty of opportunity to collaborate and find support. You ll work from our site in Maidenhead and whilst there are opportunities to for some flexible working from Monday- Friday, the nature of the role is such that you ll need to be on-site with your team.
Your role will be ensure the manufacturing/production plan is achieved to time, cost and quality with effective allocation of manufacturing resource and materials to drive high standards of delivery. Prepare and execute continuous improvement plans to reduce time and waste in manufacturing/production area. Promote a safe, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
You will also collaborate with our planning team to create and maintain daily/weekly production schedules. Allocate tasks based on resource availability, production and project priorities. Monitor work progress, expedite plan and adjust schedules to meet delivery timelines. Escalate any risks to the delivery plan. You will also be responsible for Team Leadership & Development Performance management of the production assembly team including regular 1 to 1 s reviewing individual performance and development objectives/goals. This will be achieved by providing on-the-job training and facilitate cross-training to increase team flexibility and agility.
Additionally you will help us look for and Identify and drive improvements in production workflow, production area layout, tooling, and manufacturing documentation.
This will aid you in Supporting the team in resolving build issues, interpreting engineering drawings, and troubleshooting technical problems with support from engineering team.
