Job summary
Cochlear Implant Keyworker (Highly Specialist Speech and language Therapist or Specialist Teacher of the Deaf) - 37.5 hours per week
The main purpose of this role is to provide the highly specialist clinical role of Cochlear Implant Keyworker. This includes working with patients and families during the assessment process, and providing post-operative rehabilitation and support. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team providing a cochlear implant service to the North East region and excellent communication within the team is paramount. A significant part of the service delivery may be on a domiciliary basis, either in the home or education settings, and hence the post-holder is home based.
Main duties of the job
This role involves highly specialist patient care. All such care will be provided in an effective, caring and compassionate services to patients.
The post holder is required to abide by the NHS values and the Constitution.
Successfulcandidate must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.
