Key Aspects of the Compliance Monitoring Associate Role:
* Execute and enhance the firm’s compliance monitoring plan, including thematic and risk-based reviews
* Carry out testing and surveillance to assess adherence to internal policies and regulatory expectations
* Draft clear, actionable reports and follow-up on remedial actions with business stakeholders
* Monitor regulatory developments (UK and global) and adjust monitoring activity accordingly
* Liaise with colleagues globally on cross-border monitoring initiatives and best practice
* Assist in MI reporting, risk assessments, and input into compliance committee papers
What You’ll Need:
* Around 5–8 years’ experience in a compliance monitoring or surveillance role, ideally in asset or wealth management
* Familiarity with UK regulations (e.g. MiFID II, AIFMD, Market Abuse Regs) and internal control frameworks
* Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail — experience producing monitoring reports is key
* Confident communicating with senior stakeholders across investment, operations, and risk teams
* Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
* Excel and/or data analytics skills a bonus
