Job summary
The general pharmacy department is looking to recruit a pharmacy assistant to support the Cancer services team by ensuring the administrative and stock control duties involved with Immunoglobulins (IVIGs) are undertaken.
This position is for 16 hours per week but can be flexible as to how those hours are used (e.g., four 4-hour days or two 8-hour days).
Main duties
* Good organisational skills
* Demonstrate high levels of accuracy in all areas of work
* Able to work with PCs, input data and other information
* The post holder will be required to undertake further education, training and validation before being allowed to undertake the duties required of this post.
* Be able to work in a team or autonomously when working on the wards during top-up duties.
* To participate in GDP training to meet the requirements of the wholesale dealer licence
* To undertake all mandatory training as requested by the Trust

Job Description and Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential: Good general education including GCSE grade C in Maths and English. Desirable: NVQ 2 in pharmacy services.
Experience
Essential: Experience in a customer care environment. Desirable: Experience in a pharmacy environment.
Skills
Essential: Good all-round communication skills (verbal and written); ability to demonstrate good levels of accuracy; good computer and keyboard skills. Desirable: Ability to demonstrate high levels of accuracy and strong computer/keyboard skills.
