The role in brief: An opportunity has arisen to join the business support team, providing assistance to the wider firm with workflows, reception, facilities and other administrative duties. Who we are looking for: This is an ideal opportunity for an established office support candidate, working as part of a wider support team, in a fast-paced role with an eye for detail; someone who is always keen to take on new tasks and use their initiative. You will need to provide excellent service to clients, in accordance with the firm’s values, procedures, prevailing legislation, and good professional practice so as to meet or exceed clients’ expectations and needs. What the role involves: • To provide an exceptional welcome to all visitors. • To manage meeting room diaries and refreshments. • To ensure that any deliveries, clients’ books and papers, are dealt with immediately. • To deal with incoming and outgoing post in accordance with the firm’s procedures. • To ensure that the franking machine is maintained. • To liaise with the office and facilities Director for office maintenance. • To control stationery stock levels and order supplies as appropriate in accordance with the firm’s procedures. • Any other reception duties required to support the efficient operation of the team. • To undertake administrative duties for the wider firm including all client facing administration and client take on procedures. • To prepare draft invoices and credit notes where required. • To generate letters and prepare final signed account packages to send to clients. • To assist with mail shots and ad-hoc projects. • To provide support with printing, photocopying and binding. • Undertake any other administration duties required to support the efficient operation of the team. • Opportunity to build up to undertaking some PA duties as the role progresses Your development: We provide a complementary range of learning opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm. These will comprise personal effectiveness as well as your technical skills. We have 6 monthly performance review conversations to ensure your development is on track, as well as optional monthly 1-2-1s. You will also have the opportunity to work with a mentor. We also encourage you to get involved in wider firm initiatives and have your say on how we can progress on our journey towards being the best North-West firm of finance professionals. Your attributes: As well as some relevant experience in a professional services firm, we’d like you to be: • Keen to play an active role in a dynamic team and willing to contribute to the success of the team and the firm as a whole. • Passionate about providing great client service. • Great at communicating with people at all levels – face to face and in writing. • Positive and good at using your initiative. • Good at working under pressure. • Motivated and well organised, with high levels of attention to detail • You will have worked in a similar professional services environment, or even an Accountancy Practice.
