Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Permanent Post)
This post is based at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Morningside, Edinburgh. It is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist looking to further clinical skills in mental health or gain hospital experience. Applications are welcomed for reduced hours.
Responsibilities
* Provide the clinical pharmacy service to allocated Older Peoples Mental Health wards, including consultant ward rounds.
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team with ward‑based staff.
* Respond to enquiries from Older Peoples Mental Health Community Mental Health Teams and outpatient services.
* Contribute to the on‑call rota and be willing to work public holidays.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Completed or equivalent competence mapped to the RPS post‑registration foundation pharmacist curriculum.
* PVG Scheme membership (for the required regulatory group); otherwise a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check.
* Willingness to undertake further postgraduate qualifications.
