Recruitment is ongoing. Please apply as soon as possible, as this advert may close once we have sufficient applicants.

Your Role

We are seeking a Graduate Transport Planner for our Infrastructure team, based in Birmingham, Northampton, or Cambridge, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme.

As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your transport planning expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. You will be able to develop your career as a transport planner in a busy office environment alongside other graduates across disciplines such as planning, structural engineering, and project management.

This is a great opportunity to join our Transport team and be part of our ambitious plans for growth. You will help deliver projects at varying scales for a wide variety of clients, primarily in the East of England, and across the UK. We are known locally as one of the leading development consultancies, with a strong reputation for quality delivery.

People are at the heart of everything we do: the clients we work with, the communities we create, and the colleagues we support. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects—from major new settlements and the expansion of enterprise zones to community-based initiatives—taking work from concept through to commissioning and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the delivery of transport projects from inception to completion.
* Contribute to the development and influence of transport strategies.
* Assist with the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, structural engineering, and project management.

About You

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Transport, Engineering, Maths, Economics, or Physics.
* Keen interest in the Infrastructure sector.

Personal Qualities

* An Adapter – able to remain calm in new and changing situations, comfortably switching between dynamic tasks.
* A Perseverer – composed in the face of setbacks, approaching challenges with confidence and determination.
* A Collaborator – effective at working with a wide range of people and considering different perspectives to shape better outcomes.
* A Problem-Solver – eager to share ideas and unafraid to constructively challenge conventional thinking.

Working Pattern

Graduates are expected to be in the office four days per week to ensure appropriate support, collaboration, and professional development.

What We Offer

* Competitive salary.
* Private medical insurance.
* A range of benefits, including holiday buy/sell, group income protection, and life assurance.
* Permanent employment contract, demonstrating our commitment to your long-term career at Stantec.
* Professional progression plan, supporting you towards professional chartership.
* A supportive, collaborative team environment, an Early Careers peer group, and access to employee resource groups.

Eligibility

* Applicants must have an unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period without limitation.

Inclusion and Accessibility
