As a Trade Finance Transaction Management Specialist - Vice President in the Credit Products Delivery team, you will act as a middle office partner for clients of the Commercial & Investment Bank and Global Trade Businesses. Your role involves negotiating and reviewing trade facility documentation and managing end-to-end transactions for Core Trade Finance and Loan products. You will collaborate with JPMorgan's Trade Finance sales, client coverage teams, external legal counsel, and facility agents to deliver exceptional service.
Key responsibilities
1. Deliver best-in-class trade finance execution for credit facilities and legal documentation, especially for corporate clients, including overseeing the deal closing process.
2. Partner with Clients (or their counsel), Sales, Front Office, and Credit to review and negotiate legal documentation across core trade finance products, focusing on bilateral facilities.
3. Liaise with internal and external counsel to review facility documentation.
4. Utilize transactional expertise to suggest solutions for stakeholders, ensuring timely involvement to resolve issues.
5. Manage internal controls, reporting, and escalation processes for transaction execution, including approval of documentation deviations during negotiations.
6. Contribute to wider WLS projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
* Advanced knowledge of trade finance credit documentation.
* Understanding of trade finance documentation execution, lending products, and legal agreements (Investment Grade & Non-Investment Grade).
* Knowledge of core trade products, transaction management, lending, and banking processes.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with good prioritization.
* Excellent communication skills, confident interaction with Front Office and global partners.
* Self-motivated, assertive, energetic, and a team leader.
* Willingness to train junior colleagues.
* Adaptability to changing business and technology environments.
* Strategic and tactical thinking for process improvements, with flexibility for innovation and regulation changes.
Preferred qualifications
* Experience in law firms or in-house legal roles.
* Language skills.
