As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to pupils’ individual learning needs and EHCPs.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment.
* Use a range of strategies to support pupils with learning difficulties, autism, SEMH needs, and other barriers to learning.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies.
* Monitor pupils’ progress and maintain accurate records.
* Support pupils’ emotional regulation, wellbeing, and social development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and support strategies.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working in an SEN or specialist provision is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour support strategies.
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students with complex needs.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
