Responsibilities in your new role:
* Work with a continuous improvement mindset continually improving forecasting techniques for long lead items, optional parts and kanban supply whilst managing cost saving projects
* Manage a portfolio of key suppliers, developing & maintaining relationships whilst continually monitoring performance
* Negotiate best price and lead times with suppliers ensuring all materials are on site, on time to meet production demands
* Provide monthly supplier forecasts based on latest S&OP information
* Release of orders to the supplier network based on current demand
* Provide accurate and timely monthly reports
* Provide analysis and suggest actions on current stock holding
What you will need to succeed:
* A minimum of 3 years purchasing experience within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
* Proficiency with ERP/MRP as well as all Microsoft Office packages
* Proven track record of success with implementing cost saving projects
