Mobile Mechanical OR Electrical Engineer
Location: Mobile role IP7
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Car / Allowance Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hays is working with a leading defence-sector FM provider to recruit a skilled and motivated Mobile M&E Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that delivers essential maintenance and technical services across key military sites - playing a crucial role in ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
The Role As a Mobile M&E Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise across multiple sites, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with JSP375 and Safe Systems of Work. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering planned and reactive M&E services across three military locations
Producing high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Assessing the competence of Skilled Persons and providing coaching and supervision
Supporting project work and advising on estate safety, compliance and technical issues
Liaising with stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
Identifying opportunities to reduce corrective actions and support carbon-reduction goals
Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Ensuring maintenance and operational standards meet regulatory and contractual requirements
What You'll Bring We're looking for a highly capable engineer with:
Full Mechanical or Electrical qualification
AP tickets (Electrical or Mechanical) - desirable, but training provided for the right candidate.
Strong knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and JSP375
Experience working independently across multiple sites
Confidence in problem-solving and decision-making
Experience supervising staff or contractors
Full UK driving licence
