Location: Cambridgeshire (Must live within 1-hour commute)

About the Role
As an Applications and Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-level technical support and driving sales across the EMEA region. Working closely with the Process Burner Director and aligning efforts with technical and sales teams in both the UK and Tulsa, USA, you will contribute to strategic initiatives and enhance customer engagement.
Your technical knowledge, customer-facing experience, and commercial insight will be vital in helping the company strengthen its market presence and deliver solutions that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Create comprehensive proposals for revamp, retrofit, capital, and aftermarket projects tailored to client specifications.
* Cost Estimation:
Generate competitive, market-based cost estimates to support sales strategy.
* Technical Support:
Deliver outstanding technical support to end-users, including on-site visits.
* Project Collaboration:
Work with project and design teams to remain updated on product development and technical capabilities.
* Commercial Insight:
Apply commercial awareness to enhance proposal effectiveness and project win rates.
* Customer Engagement:
Travel to customer sites for proposal presentations, discussions, and negotiations.
* Partnership Development:
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and service partners to expand business opportunities.
* Troubleshooting:
Visit customer sites to diagnose and resolve technical equipment issues when required.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
* Proven track record in technical business development
* Experience working with international customers
* Familiarity with plant, petrochemical, and/or refinery environments
