Description We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to motivate, engage & develop our team of production operatives to safely manufacture quality construction material products in accordance with our production plan. Our production environment is fast paced, dynamic and responsive and our Production Supervisors are key to ensuring that we adopt flexibility in our plans, people and resources to deliver our daily and weekly production targets safely, on time and in full. Here at Kerakoll, we’re on an exciting growth journey with a multi-million pound investment in a second UK manufacturing facility being built on Roman Way Industrial Estate in Preston to operate alongside our current production facilities in Leyland. What You’ll be Doing at Kerakoll Leading a Production Team to ensure the effective and safe running of the production lines, systems and equipment to produce quality products to meet production plan requirements. Managing, developing and engaging a production team to ensure the team continually develop skills, behaviours and competencies. Motivating and managing people activities to meet team performance targets and required Company Standards. Working as a key member of the Production Leadership Team, demonstrating Company Values and flexibility to support other teams/departments where required. Managing the warehouse to ensure continual supply of raw materials, packaging and finished goods into and out of the site. Being responsible for the intake process of Bulk Raw Materials and inbound deliveries. Provides delivery drivers with the necessary instructions for efficient, accurate and safe delivery. Ensuring a safety-first approach through regular collaboration with Health & Safety. Leading the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory linked to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards. Pro-actively identifying areas for continuous improvement within the production work environment/equipment/systems. Operating the video terminal, providing relevant instructions to production operatives to ensure compliance with relevant formula standards and scheduled quantities. In line with production software information, clearly communicating the requirements for the manual preparation of the additives and corresponding doses relating to the Indoor Silo’s. Managing non-conformance processes and corrective action activities to ensure compliance with Company Policies/Procedures/Standards. Ensuring the consistent and proper use of the XL production monitoring system such that the data for production, downtimes, equipment effectiveness etc. is accurate and fit for purpose. Analysing requirements, based on the weekly production plan to liaise with the relevant supplier to trigger the purchase request for Bulk raw Materials, Macro Components and Pallets. Conducting scheduled stock takes for finished goods, raw materials, packaging and other components. Liaising constantly with Quality Control to ensure a lean production process with the aim to achieve zero non-conforming product. Acting as point of contact for the Operatives in case of equipment malfunction or breakdown. Additionally has the responsibility of informing the maintenance team along with supporting them with trouble shooting and basic interventions. Maintaining the cleanliness of all production and warehouse areas.
