Job Description This role will provide support to the stakeholder engagement and delivery teams during the pre-construction and construction stages of the project. They will assist in the preparation and review of stakeholder engagement materials and documentation, support the planning and delivery of engagement, consultation, and communication activities for SPA infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. A fundamental part of the role is to help maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and communities, supporting the planning and consenting process and proactively minimising complaints. It is essential that this role works effectively in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary project environment and align all communications and engagement activities drawing on best practice and statutory requirements. Responsibilities Engage with stakeholders across authorities, statutory/non-statutory bodies, communities, and partners. Develop and deliver project-specific stakeholder engagement activities. Identify, map, and categorize stakeholders by influence, interest, and impact. Use stakeholder management tools (CRM, GIS) to track engagement. Organize and support consultations (workshops, exhibitions, virtual events, site visits). Prepare reports and monitor stakeholder feedback and sentiment, flagging issues. Collaborate with technical leads to resolve stakeholder concerns and build relationships with communities, businesses, and public sector partners. Track and report on community involvement and outreach initiatives, including STEM support. Drive continuous improvement in Health & Safety, ensuring inductions, audits, compliance, and safe practices. Maintain a zero-accident culture by using safety monitoring equipment, reporting near misses, and improving H&S procedures with the team. Qualifications Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., communications, geography, environment, social sciences) Experience (including placements/internships) in stakeholder or community engagement and/ or working on a major infrastructure project.
