Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. This role requires proficiency in using various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Vehicle Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre rotations.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and assembly work.
* Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate techniques and equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
* Assist in heavy lifting of components or equipment as required during repair processes.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology to enhance skills.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Familiarity with schematics to diagnose problems accurately.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
