Part Time (25 to 30 hours) Assistant Accountant Portadown Up to £18/hr + 12-month contract To join a leading construction contractor on a 12-month contract as their new Part Time Assistant Accountant, offering between 25 and 30 hours per week. Joining their finance team, you will support financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and assisting the Company Accountant with various tasks, including; Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts for various divisions within set deadlines, including analysis of variances Administration of HMRC Construction Industry Scheme with monthly/weekly subcontractors, including reconciliation of returns from accounts package Assist with completion of UK and ROI VAT/PAYE/RCT returns Processing of weekly payrolls for companies Assist finance department with subcontractors, sales, contract sales, purchases ledgers to ensure deadlines are achieved Assist with creditor payments within agreed credit terms, including BACS and manual payments What we are looking for Part Qualified in CIMA / ACCA or accounting technician qualified Experience in similar finance role Proficient in accounting software Knowledge of CIS and RCT tax regimes (HMRC/Revenue) preferred but not essential Job Types: Part-time, Temporary Contract length: 12 months Benefits: Additional leave Canteen Company events Company pension Flexitime Life insurance On-site parking Work Location: In person Skills: Accounts VAT Payroll
