Job Title: PCN Pharmacy Technician
Location: Herefordshire
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with a 30-minute break
Start Date: June/July 2025
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: 24-28 per hour DOE

What You'll Be Doing: This exciting position offers the chance to support Primary Care services by improving medicines optimisation and enhancing patient safety. As a PCN Pharmacy Technician, you will:
Assist with structured medication reviews and support repeat prescribing processes
Work closely with GPs, pharmacists, and other clinicians to ensure effective medicine use
Promote safe, effective, and efficient prescribing practices
Manage medicines reconciliation for new patients and post-discharge
Support audits and contribute to improving prescribing protocols
Requirements & Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you'll need:
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Primary Care or PCN setting
Strong understanding of medicines management and optimisation
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic healthcare environment
Working Hours & Contract Duration: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 9am to 5pm (including a 30-minute break). The position is based on-site initially, with the potential for hybrid/remote working further into the contract, depending on performance and service needs. This is an ongoing locum role with long-term potential.
