We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible, reliable and suitably experienced person to join our dedicated and professional staff. We are looking for an EY/KS1 Teaching Assistant to work in our mixed Reception/Year 1 class. The successful applicant will be required to work alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning opportunities for all pupils, as well as carry out the agreed duties of a TA. As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to build successful, positive relationships with pupils, supporting the class teacher to maintain a secure, challenging and stimulating learning environment. The candidate will have experience of working in school, preferably with experience of supporting the teaching of phonics. The candidate will also support our children at lunchtime as a Midday Supervisory Assistant on some days. The working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday, term time only plus training days. You will be an integral part of a friendly and committed team of teachers and practitioners and you must be able to work using your own initiative. All applicants should have a Maths and English GCSE grade C or above or the equivalent.
