Offer description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Merthyr Tydfil to assist with the appointment of a Customer Services Advisor, on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.69 - £17.41 per hour

Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality customer service via telephone, email, and in person.
* Respond to public and internal enquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally.
* Maintain and update administrative records, databases, and filing systems.
* Support the processing of applications, forms, and payments as required.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, correspondence, and documentation for the team.

Requirements:

* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* A customer-focused attitude with patience and empathy.

Experience:

* Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role (preferred).
* Experience using databases and record-keeping systems.
* Experience working in a local government or public-facing environment is desirable.

* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K
