The Real Estate Group at Evelyn Partners
Incorporates people from across our Tax, Transactions, Assurance and Advisory service areas. In Real Estate Tax, we provide tax advisory and compliance services to UK and international property investors and developers, including funds and asset managers, REITs, overseas investors, housebuilders, owner-occupiers, landed estates, and private clients. We also work closely with our colleagues in Transaction Services on Real Estate M&A assignments, providing financial and tax due diligence, tax structuring, and transactional support services. Many clients and targets are international, involving work with colleagues across our CLA Global network.

What you will be doing in the role
1. Lead the Stamp Taxes practice for Evelyn Partners Group.
2. Take strategic responsibility for the practice and grow the business through internal opportunities and external referral networks.
3. Support the Real Estate Team and wider practice.
4. Collaborate with various teams across the business.
5. Structure the Stamp Taxes team to facilitate training and development for key staff.
6. Enhance technical capabilities within the practice.
7. Build relationships with HMRC Stamp Taxes and establish best practices.
8. Take ultimate responsibility for delivering complex Stamp Taxes assignments.
Qualifications
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or CTA, or equivalent knowledge including legal qualifications.
Additional Information
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee Stamp Taxes advice delivery across teams.
2. Provide exceptional client service to partners, directors, and clients.
3. Lead complex Stamp Taxes assignments with technical sign-off.
4. Identify growth opportunities and manage risks.
5. Engage with clients on strategic issues as a trusted adviser.
Staff Management and Development
1. Liaise with Partners and Directors.
2. Mentor and develop junior staff.
3. Conduct appraisals and monitor performance.
4. Collaborate with peers for a cohesive approach.
Practice Development
1. Enhance technical knowledge of Stamp Taxes.
2. Grow internal and external networks for business development.
3. Drive business growth through insights.
4. Train teams on Stamp Taxes issues.
5. Improve firm-wide knowledge on opportunities and risks.
6. Establish relationships with technical bodies and HMRC.
7. Bring significant Stamp Taxes experience from practice or industry.
8. Be client-driven and commercially minded.
9. Possess awareness of other key taxes, especially in Real Estate.
10. Manage projects effectively across teams.
11. Experience managing people and clients, including senior stakeholders.
