Commercial Vehicle General Manager - Gloucester
1. Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum plus bonuses with a £70,000+ uncapped annual on-target earnings.
2. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-6:00pm.

Our client, a multi-franchise approved commercial vehicle dealership situated in Gloucester, is currently looking to recruit a General Manager to join their business.
Reporting to the senior management team, as the General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for our client's Gloucester branch, ensuring the service department thrives while maintaining oversight of parts and sales to guarantee site productivity and profitability.
Further accountabilities will include:
4. Leading and inspiring the whole team at the site to deliver the highest levels of customer service and achieve site and individual goals.
5. Taking responsibility and accountability for the site and its success.
6. Monitoring compliance with all statutory regulations and ensuring both the standards of Rygor and the manufacturers it maintains and sells are being met.
7. Controlling cost management for the service department and site costs.
8. Oversee workshop scheduling and resource allocation to meet customer needs and business targets.
9. Work with managers of our departments at the site to ensure a joined-up, positive approach to teamwork and customer service.
10. Working with relevant departments across the business, such as marketing people and IT, to uphold company values and ensure correct processes and policies are followed.
11. Ensure site and departmental KPIs are met through robust leadership and a hands-on approach.
12. Leading and developing apprentices.
13. Managing, coaching and motivating employees to ensure a high quality of staff.
14. Together with employees, establishing business objectives and personal development goals, and monitoring performance against agreed targets. Undertaking appraisals with your team every September and following up with regular 121s and PDPs.
15. Building strong working relationships with customers.
16. Performance analysis to identify areas of weakness and appropriate, targeted marketing activity.
17. Ensuring all health and safety policies are followed and upheld, including risk assessments and H&S eLearning.
18. Promote the development of your team.
The successful candidate will live within a reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester and have strong current experience working as a Service/Aftersales Manager within a medium to large franchise-approved automotive dealership. Experience at a general management level or with vehicle sales would be desirable but is non-essential, providing you have the relevant aftersales manage, ent experience. Overall, you will need to be effective in managing and supporting colleagues and have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and our client's reputation. You will need to be IT literate and have a UK driving license with minimal points. Any prior experience within a commercial vehicle dealership or fleet maintenance company would be highly beneficial, but is non-essential.
