1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockport Area
Start Date: 8th June
Contract: Until end of the academic year
Hours: 3 full days and 2 mornings per week
Premier Education is working in partnership with a primary school in the Stockport area seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil until the end of the academic year. in KS2.This role requires a specialist SEN TA who is confident supporting children with a range of additional needs and can build positive, consistent relationships within a nurturing school environment.
Role Overview:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs
Supporting a child with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), SALT (Speech and Language), and behavioural needs
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
Delivering tailored support strategies to encourage engagement and progress
Helping to create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
Strong understanding of SEMH, behavioural, and speech and language needs
A resilient, patient, and consistent approach
Ability to build strong relationships and maintain professional boundaries
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
