Design Estimator - CF46078 Our client, a leading specialist within the ground engineering sector, is seeking a Design Estimator to join their growing team. This is a full-time position with the option for hybrid working, based from either Newark, Doncaster, or Essex. Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of tender designs and cost estimates for piled retaining walls and soil nailed slope solutions. This role will also involve developing client relationships from initial enquiry through to project award and beyond, contributing to the continued success and growth of the business. Design Estimator Job Responsibilities * Preparation of tender designs and cost estimates for piled retaining walls and soil nailed slopes * Reviewing and interpreting client enquiries and technical documentation * Ensuring all estimates are commercially viable and aligned with company procedures * Supporting the securing of profitable and strategically beneficial work * Developing and maintaining strong client relationships from enquiry stage through to order * Attending client meetings and site visits across the UK as required * Working closely with internal teams to ensure successful project handovers * Maintaining a strong customer-focused approach throughout all stages of the process Design Estimator Job Requirement s * Minimum of 2 years' experience within ground engineering, geotechnical, or ground investigation sectors * Previous experience in estimating or design (preferred but not essential) * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines * Excellent communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Design Estimator Salary & Benefits * Competitive salary (DOE) * Hybrid working options available * Discretionary annual bonus * Medical cash plan * Life assurance * Service-related holiday entitlement * Employee discounts Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
