NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Locum Consultant in Community Paediatrics to provide targeted support in reducing long waits, with a specific focus on achieving zero patients waiting over 52 weeks. This short‑term post will contribute to service recovery efforts by increasing clinical capacity, improving patient flow and ensuring timely access to care for children and families.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct clinical care in community paediatrics.
* Assess, prioritise and manage patients on the waiting list.
* Collaborate with the paediatric team, Service Manager and Clinical Lead.
* Contribute to clinical governance, documentation and reporting to support progress monitoring and sustainability of improvements.
This is a full‑time post. The core 10 PA working week will be based on 9 PA of Direct Clinical Care duties and 1 PA of SPA time. There is no on‑call commitment. Proposals for additional SPA time from applicants are encouraged.
