At Evri, transport safety and compliance sit at the heart of everything we do. Our Transport Development Team plays a vital role in raising standards, strengthening road safety, and shaping positive driver and management behaviours across the business.
We’re now looking for a Transport Development Auditor on a 6-month fixed term contract to join the team and act as a key compliance checkpoint across all Evri sites. This role offers a real opportunity to influence standards, support operational excellence and help shape the future of transport development across our Group.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll work closely with sites and leadership teams to assess, support and continuously improve transport compliance and performance. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Carrying out routine transport audits across all Evri sites, including 28‑day, quarterly, bi‑annual and annual reviews
2. Preparing for audits remotely using company‑approved systems, followed by on‑site audits as required
3. Ensuring Earned Recognition standards (Driver and Vehicle) are met prior to physical site visits
4. Collating audit findings and delivering clear, structured feedback to stakeholders
5. Presenting audit outcomes and recommendations to site teams and Area‑level leadership
6. Creating and maintaining audit records in line with DVSA and ISO standards
7. Identifying training and development needs for site transport teams
8. Supporting succession planning by highlighting future talent for transport roles
9. Ensuring audits are delivered consistently, fairly and within agreed timeframes
10. Contributing to wider Transport Development initiatives and projects
11. Keeping up to date with legislative changes and industry best practice through continuous professional development
What you'll bring to the role:
12. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
13. Confident in using Microsoft Office packages
14. Professional Competency in Transport Management (CPC) with relevant experience
15. Experience managing processes in a fast‑paced operational environment
16. Strong understanding of Operator License obligations
17. Proven experience in using TACHO master
18. Proven ability to analyse data, collate information and influence stakeholders
19. Experience creating efficient systems and ways of working
20. Confident creating and delivering content across a range of transport topics
21. Ability to influence through data and insight to all levels across the organisation
22. Exceptional attention to detail with strong cross‑referencing skills
23. Experience supporting and driving change management
