Responsibilities
* Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, and sanders to produce precise components according to specifications
* Fabricate custom wood pieces for furniture, fixtures, or structural elements
* Assemble wooden parts using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to ensure durability and quality
* Measure, cut, and shape wood materials accurately for various projects
* Perform finishing tasks including sanding, staining, and sealing to achieve desired surface quality
* Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and project requirements
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
* Assist in the installation of finished products on-site when required
* Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance
Experience
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry within a construction or woodworking environment
* Skilled in the use of hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and screwdrivers
* Proficient with power tools including drills, routers, and saws
* Knowledge of joinery techniques such as dovetailing, mortise-and-tenon, and biscuit joining
* Experience working with roofing materials or masonry is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling
* Familiarity with construction painting, plumbing, electrical work, or masonry is considered a plus but not mandatory
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and cutting tasks
