About this Role
As a Temporary Management Accountant within our Material Handling business, you will take full ownership of the finance function and provide accurate, timely insight to support decision making across the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead reporting, oversee day to day finance operations, and ensure strong financial control throughout the organisation.
1. Preparing monthly management accounts in line with group formats and reporting deadlines.
2. Leading and supporting a small finance team covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, and administration.
3. Overseeing all financial ledgers, including fixed assets, sales ledger, and purchase ledger, ensuring timely reconciliation after period close.
4. Preparing month end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
5. Producing interim and year end financial reporting packs in line with internal and external accounting policies.
6. Supporting the production of statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors and tax advisers.
7. Taking overall responsibility for credit control, including monitoring aged debt and supporting timely customer payments.
8. Completing financial and government returns, including VAT and other regulatory submissions.
9. Producing variance analysis against budget and prior periods, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
