REMOTE WORKING Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer specializing in Infromatica, and familiar with python based ETL and Data Pipelines, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data landscape. Your responsibilities will encompass managing and optimizing our data warehouse, curating a unified data view, and orchestrating data extraction from a range of sources including third-party APIs and internal databases. Leveraging industry leading tooling like Informatica and AWS, you will drive data analysis and report generation, ultimately providing valuable insights to our business units. Responsibilities: ETL Pipeline Ownership: You will have full ownership of our ETL pipelines, ensuring seamless flow of data through its transformations. Data Warehouse Management: Monitor and manage the Data Warehouse to maintain data quality and performance. Data Accuracy and Availability: Identify and address challenges related to data accuracy and availability, working proactively to ensure data reliability. Scheduled Data Updates: Ensure data updates occur on schedule, optimizing data refresh processes. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements. Custom Reporting: Work in tandem with report writers to create tailored reports that meet the unique needs of our business units. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all data imports and processes for reference and transparency. Data Analysis: Provide insightful data analysis to support the organization's strategic goals. Using PowerBI for data visualisation Requirements: Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Informatica is essential, and a proven track record of using Cloud Data Integration Services (IICS) Effective Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with stakeholders effectively. Proactive Approach: Demonstrated bias for action, enabling prompt and efficient delivery of results. Specialised Tooling: Awareness or experience with python based ETL, ELT pipelines. Problem-Solving: A professional and programmatic approach to troubleshooting and support, with the tenacity to go the extra mile for stakeholders. Data-Driven Decision-Making: The ability to assess problems and make informed decisions using data as a guide. Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail when managing tasks or large-scale projects ETL Expertise: Indus try experience in authoring and managing ETL pipelines. Experience owning redshift data warehouses. Desirables: Cloud Exposure: Awareness of AWS cloud data ser vices, like Glue, Lake Formation & S3. PowerBI Experience: Familiarity with data presentation tools, particularly PowerBI. Operational Influence: Has defined or contributed towards data operating models surrounding data pipelines and wider business intelligence functions.
