Cromwood Housing specialise in ABEN and Temporary Accommodation providing an array of property services to a selection of Local Authorities, the Home Office, landlords and tenants. We play a key role in helping to prevent homelessness in Manchester.
Currently we are looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer to manage a portfolio of properties with the Greater Manchester Area. This role involves remote working from your housing area to provide direct support to your tenants. You would manage your own caseload, following policies and procedures to meet key performance objectives.
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm
Contract type: Permanent/full time
Benefits: 30 days of leave, plus public holidays, work tablet and mobile phone, performance related bonus, car for business use
Main duties for the Neighbourhood Housing Officer role include:
* Implementing conditions of a Tenancy Agreements and rights and responsibilities
* Implementing ASB policies and procedures
* Management of overall inspections of properties within agreed timescales reporting back on defects as and when required
* Ensure the properties are maintained according to Health and Safety guidelines and company procedures
* Make recommendations to line manager regarding any relocations of tenants and termination of properties to provide more efficient use of portfolio/void management
* Effect minor property repairs as necessary e.g. light bulb and lock changing
Requirements for the Neighbourhood Housing Officer role:
Essentials:
* Previous property experience ideally in social housing
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders
* The ability to develop professional relationships with a wide range of people
* Be self-motivated, organised and able to manage time effectively
* Must have a keen eye for details
* A valid driving licence is also essential
Desirables:
* Knowledge of new AWABs law and health safety and building standards regulations
