About the Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. By joining HC-One you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight Residents. You will also help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events. You’ll work to give Residents confidence to socialise, develop activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies, and involve the care home team — all with a focus on kindness.
HC-One looks for someone with a background in working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. The role requires positive energy, excellent planning, organisational and IT skills, effective time management, and a considerate, kind approach when communicating with Residents and co-workers.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if concerns arise, and attend safeguarding training relevant to your role with ongoing development in related areas.
