Overview
Health & Fitness Coach at Serco — location: Sir Jason Kenny Leisure Centre. Contract: Permanent. Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, mixture of earlies, days and late shifts. Salary: £24,413 per annum, £12.26 per hour plus excellent benefits.
About the role
The purpose of the role is to inspire members to achieve their goals, deliver Group Fitness and Small Group Training sessions, and have the opportunity to deliver Personal Training sessions. You will coach members on effective health & fitness programmes appropriate to their needs and advise on the safe use of exercise equipment. At all times you will help create a community orientated environment, building clubs within clubs and always deliver excellent customer service. The role will involve a high level of customer interaction and there will be times when you will be required to assist other members of staff.
Responsibilities
* Deliver Group Fitness, Small Group Training sessions and Personal Training as appropriate.
* Coach members on health & fitness programmes and advise on safe equipment use.
* Foster a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities and membership benefits.
* Assist other staff as required.
Qualifications
* Level 2 Fitness Instruction (essential)
* Active progression towards Level 3 (Advanced Instructor Qualification)
* Level 3 Exercise Referral (desirable)
* Background or interest in the leisure industry (beneficial, not essential)
