Job Summary
The General Manager oversees all aspects of a fine dining restaurant’s operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high-quality food and service standards, and strong financial performance. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
* Oversee daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house
* Ensure smooth service flow and adherence to fine dining standards
* Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation aligned with brand expectations
2. Guest Experience
* Deliver exceptional customer service and personalized guest experiences
* Handle VIP guests, complaints, and special requests professionally
* Maintain strong guest relationships and encourage repeat business
3. Team Leadership & HR
* Recruit, train, and supervise staff (managers, servers, chefs, hosts)
* Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and excellence
* Conduct performance evaluations and staff development programs
4. Financial Management
* Manage budgets, P&L, and cost control (food, beverage, labor)
* Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue
* Ensure inventory control and minimize waste
5. Quality Control
* Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and service
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
* Work closely with the Executive Chef on menu planning and innovation
6. Marketing & Business Development
* Develop marketing strategies, promotions, and events
* Build partnerships and enhance the restaurant’s brand reputation
* Monitor industry trends and competitor performance
Salary budget: 70,000 - 100,000 GBP per annum
