About the Role
My client are investing heavily in cyber security and are looking for a proactive, technically focused Information Security Analyst to help drive forward key infosec initiatives across their UK and international operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 18 months to 3 years of experience in security who wants to develop hands-on in technical implementation while growing their GRC and policy skills over time.
You’ll play a key role in implementing and evolving their Microsoft security ecosystem, particularly focusing on Microsoft Purview, DLP, data classification, and alignment to ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials standards.
We’re not looking for a checkbox GRC analyst. We want someone who’s passionate about information security, loves solving problems, and wants to grow with the firm as they scale and mature their global cyber programme.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Deliver hands-on implementation of Microsoft security tools, including:
Microsoft Purview (DLP, Information Protection, Compliance Manager)
Data classification and labelling
2. Support policy creation and technical rollout of information security controls
3. Assist in preparing for and maintaining ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials compliance
4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal security posture
5. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement effective technical controls
6. Grow your knowledge of GRC, risk assessment, and audit readiness (we’ll support you fully)
7. Occasionally travel to UK and international sites as needed
What We’re Looking For
18 months – 3 years of experience in a technical infosec or IT security role
Strong background in Microsoft security technologies
Hands-on experience with DLP, data classification, or policy implementation
Enthusiastic, proactive mindset — you don’t wait to be told what to do
Excellent communication skills — comfortable engaging across departments
Willingness to learn GRC and policy frameworks over time
Based within commutable distance to Hull – 3 days per week in-office
Full UK driving license preferred (some travel required)
