The Opportunity

Were looking for an Assistant Plant Manager to join Holcim, a global leader in sustainable construction materials, supporting the Plant Manager and playing a key role in the day-to-day success of the operation.
This is a hands-on, people-focused position where youll help drive plant performance, champion safety, support financial controls, and develop the team around you. If you enjoy variety, responsibility, and being at the heart of operations, this role offers genuine progression and long-term development.
What Youll Be Doing Supporting the Plant Manager with the smooth running of site operations and improvement plans
Promoting and embedding a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture leading by example and challenging unsafe behaviours
Delivering and participating in Interactive Safety Tours, investigations and root cause analysis
Maintaining and improving plant maintenance schemes to maximise availability and reliability
Engaging with customers, visitors and local authorities professionally, including leading site tours
Driving quality standards and supporting compliance with company quality plans and external audits
Supporting financial administration including cycle counts, GRNs, open order reports and month-end processes
Assisting with CapEx planning, budget awareness and interpretation of monthly financial performance
Ensuring the team has the right training, competence and authorisation to perform duties safely
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and site performance targets
Working flexibly as part of a 24/7 operational environment when required
