Role Title Programme Manager - Food - Manufacturing Staffordshire / Derbyshire £60,000 - £70,000 Excellent Benefits We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Projects/ Programme Manager to oversee and manage project activities within the Commercial function-covering Sales, New Business, and Procurement. This role is critical in leading the transformation of project management practices by redefining tools, methodologies, training, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for scoping, delivering, and overseeing a diverse portfolio of strategic projects. Typical project scopes include: Costings and quotations New customer launches and onboarding Cost-saving initiatives, including raw material approvals and customer collaboration The role : Build and lead a high-performing project management team, promoting a culture of accountability and innovation Manage a portfolio of strategic, cross-functional projects, including new product development, process improvements, and digital initiatives Develop and implement robust project governance frameworks, ensuring effective reporting, risk management, and stakeholder alignment Collaborate with teams across Technical, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Compliance, as well as with customers and suppliers Identify opportunities for process improvement to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality Monitor project progress, manage risks, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure on-time delivery Conduct post-project evaluations and present outcomes and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team Lead project prioritisation discussions in regular review forums with Directors and Heads of Department The Person: Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) preferred Experience driving digital transformation and introducing new ways of working Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage project teams Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across multiple business functions Extensive experience managing complex projects in cross-functional environments Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach and support team members while directly contributing to project delivery Client information Outstanding international manufacturing operation based in Staffordshire, Derbyshire region.
