Position Summary: We are currently recruiting for a UK QHSE Manager to join our existing team within our Power & Industrial (P&I) division based in Cramlington, Northumberland. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of QHSE objectives and inputs to the AAF UK Operations and will coordinate and lead where necessary the overall HSE approach. This role will drive our QHSE performance to ensure efficient and effective service in achieving zero harm and sustainability. Scope for flexible working arrangements, including working from home on occasion, is offered subject to agreement. Position Responsibilities: To provide authoritative guidance and leadership to the UK business for QHSE. Work with key stakeholders to ensure that operations are compliant with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001. To implement, communicate and update the UK business with regards to all company policies and procedures and any changes with regards to QHSE. Proactively collaborate on Health & Safety projects across UK Operations. To create, review and maintain the UK business Risk Assessments. Lead and support areas of compliance across the UK business. Ensuring the business conforms to all QMS, H&S and Environmental legislation developing and managing robust EMS and QMS. Review and develop the safety training needs for the UK business. Review and audit arrangements for Health & Safety management, while continuously improving these arrangements where appropriate. Advise the Executive and Operational Teams on QHSE legislation, best practices, and performance. Undertake full and detailed investigations into all accidents/incidents, Near Hits and Safety Observations. Provide leadership to the UK business Safety Representative Team, ensuring that all actions are communicated and delivered across the UK business. Promote a safe working culture and encourage Safety Kaizen events across the UK business, ensure employee engagement. Report a monthly QHSE report to the AAF Leadership Team. Person Specification Education, Qualifications and Affiliations Essential NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. Desirable A bachelor’s degree in a health, safety or environmental field of study. *Completed qualifications from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Experience Essential Demonstratable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Proven experience as a QHSE Manager or similar position. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering company. Solid knowledge and understanding of UK Health & Safety Legislation Knowledge of ISO 9001, Environmental: ISO14001 and Health and Safety: ISO45001 Previous experience of conducting training. Proven ability to lead a culture change across site. Computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages. Desirable Previous experience gained within the industry or similar industries i.e. Mechanical, O&G, Energy and Power Generation Internal and Lead Auditor experience. Experience of Six Sigma or Operational Excellence. Licenses or Certifications Essential Eligible to work in the UK. Full valid passport. Full driving license. Desirable First aid certificate. Fire warden certificate. Lean Six Sigma qualification. Audit Qualification. Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g. IOSH or IEMA).
