Warden Call Engineer – DFP Services

Role
The role of a Warden Call Engineer will be to carry out installs, reactive fault finding, repairs and Preventative Planned Maintenance on Electrical, Electronic Social Alarms, Security Alarm Systems, Warden Call and Nurse Call Communication Systems in Communal Properties, Nursing Care Homes, Assisted Living facilities.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a company vehicle in a clean road‑worthy condition each week, reporting any damage or faults as per item 9 of the terms and conditions of your contract of employment.
* Ensure Site Managers or residents are made aware of the reason for visit upon arrival, presenting your company‑branded ID card and sign in where required.
* Review issued installation plans given for each installation contract.
* Carry out installation work as stipulated on installation plans and inform customers of the next day’s work plan.
* Leave site in a tidy and safe condition upon completion.
* Promote adaptations to onsite customer representatives, eg Scheme managers, caretakers and wardens, whilst working on projects.
* Maintain daily contact before 17:00 hrs each day, giving progress for that day’s work in accordance with the installation plan.
* Provide technical advice and information to customers and other DFP Engineers when required.
* Work throughout the UK including overnight stays depending on contract projects.
* Comply with method statements, risk assessments, our Health and Safety Policy and management systems at all times, together with the customers Health and Safety standards whilst working on site.
* Be responsible for the safe and secure storage of all equipment and plans whilst working on site.
Ideal Person
* Experience working in care homes or public sector environments.
* The ability to communicate at all levels.
* IT literate skills.
* Clear communication, both oral and written.
* A customer focused approach.
* Ambition, drive and enthusiasm.
Training
* Full training will be provided.
Essential Criteria
* Experience in background in Electronic Security Social Alarms / Warden Call / Nurse Call / Door Entry Systems.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Enhanced DBS clearance.
Hours
* 00:00 – 16:30 pm, 5 days per week, 40 hours.
* 1.5 rate door to door.
* Overtime rate paid after 40 hours.
* Double time paid for call‑outs between 12:00 am & 5:00 am and Sundays.
* Call out rota 1 day in every 6.
