What's involved with this role: Job Title: Employment Specialist Lawyer Ref: Merton 5270164 Pay rate: Up to £40.16 per hour PAYE depending on experience The role: We are seeking an experienced Employment Specialist Lawyer or Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join the team. You will have a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) specialising in employment law. Experience of working for a local authority or another public sector organisation, for a minimum of 10 months, is essential for this role. Key responsibilities may include:- Provide specialist employment law advice and representation within a local government or public sector context Manage and resolve complex employment matters effectively and efficiently Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support organisational objectives Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law affecting employment in the public sector What the client is looking for: Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 5 years PQE in employment law Significant experience working within local government or the wider public sector Strong knowledge of UK employment law, particularly as it relates to local government and public sector employers Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads with attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving Proven track record of undertaking consistent longer-term placements, with each placement lasting over six months How to Apply Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
