Inpatient Booking & Pre Assessment Administrator | Customer Service/Administration | Cardiff | Full Time | Permanent
Spire Cardiff Hospital are looking for a driven and motivated individual to provide an efficient administrative service within the Inpatient Booking & Pre Assessment Department, working within established policies and processes. To ensure an exemplary level of customer service is upheld in the provision of service to patients, consultants, and the hospital team.
This role will suit someone who would like a challenging and busy role with plenty of variety.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support and compliance of standardised department process and procedures.
2. Maintain and update patient records on SAP.
3. Liaising with consultants and their secretaries regarding booking information and to inform consultants of any changes in procedure.
4. Receive bookings and liaise with internal departments via the electronic diary or by telephone.
5. Enter bookings onto SAP in a timely manner.
6. To book patients into Pre-Assessment clinics identified by the Pre-Assessment nurses.
7. Updating and amending any changes in bookings as and when required.
8. To ensure that all Fixed price patients are priced accurately or refer file to the relevant party.
9. To print Admission letters and make sure that information going to the patient is correct.
10. Prepare files for patients admission and pass to relevant department the day before admission.
11. Ensure that all patients have been pre-authorised with the insurance company or that a Fixed price quote has been paid before admission.
12. Flexible approach to undertake a wide range of duties as and when required.
Who we're looking for
13. Working knowledge of SAP or a similar patient booking system
14. Knowledge of the health care industry beneficial
15. Track record of successful delivery in a similar role
16. Working knowledge of SAP or a similar patient booking system
17. Experience of working independently and in a team, using own initiative
18. Working to deadlines
19. Excellent customer service and organisational skills
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday, between 08:00 - 18:00
Shifts vary between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 18:00
