This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate will report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems to enhance our aerodynamics development activities for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will design, develop, and optimize solutions to tackle technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
* Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large volumes of data from multiple sources.
* Collaborate with data engineers and other teams to integrate data from various platforms and systems.
* Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
* Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in data workflows.
* Work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
* Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
* Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
* Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
* Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
* Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
* Experience in motorsports industry.
* Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security best practices.
* Experience with HPC architecture and Data Acquisition systems.
* Experience developing Live Streaming data pipelines.
* Understanding of aerodynamic testing and practices.
